Pack up all the extra clutter, personal effects, and junk, put it into boxes and get it outta there! You are moving soon, right? Why not start now? Buyer’s want to envision themselves in your home so help them out the best you can. You only have 1 chance to make a good first impression. Your family is very beautiful, but that giant photo-wall at the front door has gotta go!
Things like a leaky kitchen sink, or even worse…a leaky roof; those things will have to be fixed now. Otherwise, a buyer will have an inspection done, they will find it, and it will hurt you in the negotiation process. The small amount of money you spend now will be substantially less than the money you would likely lose when negotiating with a buyer.
Things like a fresh coat of paint, (neutral colours of course!) Minor bathroom renovations, Minor Kitchen renovations, and of course…CLEANING it the best you can — those 4 areas will have the highest return on investment.
